2024 Programmer Salary Survey Results

As Patika.dev, we are the largest developer community in Turkey with more than 250,000 users.
The 2024 programmer salaries survey, which we conducted between February 2-9, 2024, in our community Totally anonymous participation of 1,150 developers We performed with. In order for survey results to be reliable, we limited participants to community members who we know work in the software field. We have conducted similar surveys in previous years to use them in our analyses, but this is our first survey to share their results in a comprehensive way.
Because our survey is anonymous, some of the data may not be real data. Because the number of participants exceeds 1,000, we assume that exceptional, misleading data will not greatly affect overall inferences.
The rate of increase received by the participants is largely in the 30% - 69% band.
“Salary” in the report, average net salary per month means.

According to the roles of the participants, their monthly net salary in 2024 varies as follows:
The ratios for the roles most involved in the survey are as follows. Data Scientist/Engineer and QA Engineer Averaging Roles Over 5-6% while getting a raise, Game Developers The rate of increase for the average 12% behind.
In the positions where we receive the most answers, the increase rates are very close to each other.
Of the 13 positions we offered as options in our survey, we excluded 5 from this analysis because we received a statistically insufficient number of responses.
According to the experience of the participants (the number of years they worked), the distribution of net salaries and raise rates for 2024 varies as follows. Participants with 2-3 years of experience have the highest rate of increase:
The distribution of net salaries and increase rates for 2024 by gender of the participants is as follows.
Our male participants compared to our female participants 10% more salary and 4% more raise has. This difference does not close either when we look at it by level of experience and disaggregation by positions.
When we look at the fragmentation according to the years of experience, there is also a difference in the level of salary and increase according to gender.
Participants working in companies based in Turkey lowest monthly net salary to the amount, however to the highest rate of increase has.
The difference in the rate of increase by location increases with the year of experience. The salary difference is highest among programmers with 0-1 year experience and 4+ experienced programmers.
Half of the respondents work remotely. While this rate is behind the global average (60%), the rate of work entirely from the office is in line with the global average (15%).
The salary and raise levels of programmers who work entirely from the office are lower than others.
