At Patika.dev, we are thrilled to announce the successful outcome of our latest bootcamps in collaboration with Getir! This program, featuring bootcamps in iOS and Android development, has been a remarkable journey, resulting in the hiring of 10 talented developers (5 iOS and 5 Android) by Getir, the innovative Turkish company known for its rapid on-demand delivery services.

From Thousands of Applicants to Top-Tier Hires

Our efforts to attract top talent for the IOS & Android bootcamps gained impressive attention. We separately received over 2000 applications for both our iOS program and Android program. After a rigorous selection process, we welcomed about 40 iOS participants and 30 Android participants into our bootcamps. Ultimately the Getir team hired 10 of our graduates. This great result speaks for the quality and effectiveness of our training programs themselves.

Intensive Training for iOS and Android Development

The bootcamp provided an immersive and enjoyable training program designed to equip learners with the essential skills and knowledge required for IOS and Android Development. Over the intensive five-week course, students participated in interactive lessons with their mentors -who are industry expert developers, they took online classes via the Cohorts platform to expand their knowledge even further and got involved in peer learning through collaborating on Discord channel. Thanks to several online events organized with the Getir team, they also had the opportunity to gain insights into Getir's team dynamics, work methodologies and vibrant company culture firsthand.

Participants started the training with the basics of Swift and Kotlin, covering fundamental concepts such as syntax, control flow and data structures. As they progressed, they delved into more advanced topics, including memory management, generics and protocol-oriented programming. The curriculum also emphasized the importance of UI/UX design principles, guiding students through the creation of intuitive and visually appealing interfaces.

A significant portion of the training focused on real-world application development. Students gained hands-on experience by working on assignments and projects that reflected industry demands. They built and debugged complex applications, integrated web services and implemented data persistence solutions. These projects not only strengthened their coding skills but also improved their problem-solving skills and their ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

The program also covered modern app architecture, focusing on the Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) pattern, essential for creating scalable and maintainable applications. Students gained proficiency in tools like Xcode and Android Studio, mastering best practices in version control with Git. As mentioned before, throughout the bootcamp, participants received mentorship from experienced industry professionals, gaining invaluable insights and guidance.

Results and feedback

After successfully completing the program, we extended job offers to 10 individuals in total and all of them accepted. The program has been highly productive and successful in my opinion and we are very pleased with the results.
